  • working with different departments (game design, game experience, QA, VFX, vehicles or environment, etc), best practices to sync
  • organisational tools, best and worst practices
  • interdepartmental communication
  • how to be efficient in them from an audio perspective

Getting a job in the audio industry:

  • Differences based on linear or dynamic integration
  • How to prepare for an application, an interview, how to stand out, softwares to master, and standards to respect
  • What to expect at work, the differences between remote and on-site jobs
  • Cultural differences and how to respect them to ensure you keep your job
  • How to ensure you keep your job as well as your sanity (how to handle crunch as well)
  • Questions for a solid 20-45 minutes

Matt Gabnai is an experienced sound designer who has worked on various high-profile video game titles, including Assassin’s Creed, The Crew, Watch Dogs, Star Citizen, and Squadron42. In this workshop, he will share his expertise on a range of topics, including mastering game dev buzzwords, game audio implementation techniques, and modern workflows for game audio.
